Starbucks screws us Canadians!
First off I have to mention the following:
1) I like Starbucks
2) I'm addicted to Starbucks coffee
Back in September, I wrote an email to Starbucks asking them why they had not adjusted the pricing on their merchandise to reflect the lower exchange rate between the Canadian and US dollar. As an example, most of their travel coffee mugs retail for about $20US. However, the Canadian price is nearly $28!! A markup of 40% I really find that offensive when the rate shouldn't be more than 15%.
I received the usual pre-canned response of how important my feedback was and that it would be forwarded onto the appropriate people in the company.
Now its almost two months later and I haven't received a single other response from them. I emailed again. Hopefully I'll hear something soon.
What really pisses me off now is that all the Starbucks are getting their Xmas merchandise in. Guess what? Same old "F*** the Canadians with our obscene exchange rate of 40%". What a piss off.
Anybody have any contacts at Starbucks that may be able to give me a better response?
