Welcome to my site
Well, I have had this site at 1&1 for over 3 years now on their free package deal that they offered way back when. I haven't done much with the site so I've decided to move it over to a friend's server and set it up with WordPress to start using as a blog.
I hereby do solemnly swear to update this site on a regular basis!
I wouldn't hold my breath, but I'll try to get back here on a regular basis.
My inspiration for this is Richard Bejtlich's excellent blog and Google Notebook. I like the idea of posting installing tips and other tricks that you discover as you play with Open Source software. Don't you hate it when you come across some weird error, spend two hours figuring it out, get hit with the OH THATS THE SOLUTION, and then promptly forget what the solution was and then you need it again six months later?
Well, I hope to keep enough information here that I don't have that sort of thing happen again. And I'll include the occasional rant, weird web links and anything else that tickles my fancy. I may offend some people. I may make you laugh. I may make you cry (but I hope not). I might make you think I'm brilliant or a complete idiot...it makes no difference to me. This is my little corner of the web.
This website is a great idea, I don’t know how many times I have pulled my hair out, screamed and bashed my head into my keyboard dealing with the same problem more than once. the Linux Cookbook, published by O’reilly and
http://www.tldp.org (The Linux Documentation Project) are also amazing resources….I look forward to regular visits to this site!
